Dear Coaches:

I am writing this letter on behalf of few concerns that have been brought to the attention of the board in a few of our divisions. The primary reason for distributing this letter across the entire league is because of the issues in question directly affects everyone associated with MGSA. The areas of concern are, player eligibility, team and player taunting on and off the field, and gossiping or communicating information that has not been fully researched or asked directly pertaining to the parties involved.

I want to inform all coaches that all teams and players in MGSA for the spring 2012 are in good standing without any question. MGSA Board has exhausted an extremely large amount of time and research within the last week to eliminate and rumor that coaches or players may have about a team or particular player(s). The concern has primarily been within the 12U and 14U division. The teams and players are in good standing and will finish the season.

The last area I want to address is the negative remarks that said out loud, the taunting of umpires, teams, players, and coaches will not be tolerated. We have established a code of conduct that all coaches and parents sign and we will hold those involved accountable for their actions.

In closing, I do not like to send a letter like this out to the organization but there has been a number of complaints presented to the board. The last couple of weeks have included scrutiny, negative remarks, taunting on and off field, as well as other non-positive reinforcement against players, teams (including coaches), and umpires. We as a board work hard to make an environment fun for the girls and community alike and have benefitted the last couple of seasons with positive growth.
